My name is Maria, I am 46 years old. I have been married for 24 years to Kevin and have 5 children, four girls and one boy, ages 24, 21, 18, 14, 7. and our granddaughter Isabella who is now 1, and we are also excited to become grandparents for the second time in July 09 ..

I became interested in reborn babies when my eldest daughter brought me the Welcome Home Emily at this time i had just started selling dolls houses and miniatures in my husbands computer shop. I sold some miniatures to a lady on EBay and as she also lived in Cambridgeshire she decided to pick them up from the shop. I mentioned to her that i loved the reborn dolls on EBay and it turned out that she was a reborn artist, Jennie from Miracle Babies Nursery. Jennie kindly reborned my welcome home Emily and Alex and Mathew. Jennie encouraged me to start reborning myself, so i went and saw a dear friend of Jennies, Catherine Bray, She set me up with my first reborn kit and Philippa who I sold on EBay. The pleasure of reborning her was extraordinary although very nerve racking, Back in my early days i had alot of advice from Ruth of Precious Dreams and the support of the other fantastic Reborn Artists on Simply Reborn . Ruth is the UK instructor for Simply Reborn and for any new Reborn Artist i would suggest the Simply Reborn Classes.

I love everything there is to love about reborning, it is so addictive, as a collector and an Artist, i pride myself on only letting my babies go from my Nursery when they are at a standard that i would except to buy them myself, and i have very high standards. The ppiness that my babies brings to their new adopted Mummy's is so rewarding and humbling, and i member them all . A high light in my reborning was to go to the first ever International Dolls fair in June 2007, and meet all my Reborning friends who i had been chatting to for the last 4 years, and to see Ruth Annette reborn live, it was like Christmas for the whole weekend. i also met Pat Secrist, Tina Kewy , Sarah Webb, and many many more fantastic Artist, all those reborn babies and Artist in one room !! ..

On the 10th June 2009 i was awarded my PRAISE award
